  • 1 package red velvet cake mix
  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 to 5 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Mix cake mix, flour, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and mix to form sticky dough.
  3. Knead lightly until elastic.
  4. Let dough rise until doubled.
  5. Roll dough into rectangle.
  6. Brush with butter and add cinnamon sugar.
  7. Roll up and slice into rolls.
  8. Let rolls rise again.
  9. Bake until puffed and set.
  10. Drizzle with icing while warm.
