Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange brioche cubes evenly in the dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes and press lightly to soak.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until golden and set.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with syrup before serving.
Notes
- Use day-old bread for the best texture.
- If the top browns too quickly, cover with foil during the last 15 minutes of baking.
