- 1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned and slightly crisp on the edges. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- 2. Remove excess grease. Add diced onions and cook until translucent. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- 3. Stir in tomato paste if using, then pour in beef broth to deglaze the pan. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
- 4. Reduce heat and add heavy cream, stirring until smooth. Allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
- 5. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and fold gently. Stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
- 6. Adjust seasoning to taste and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, use ground turkey and half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Add a splash of milk or broth when reheating.
