Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken rotisserie or leftover
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • ½ cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter for topping
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley optional

Method

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and melted butter; stir until evenly coated.
  3. 3. Slice Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms connected.
  4. 4. Place bottom halves in the prepared baking dish and spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly.
  5. 5. Drizzle ranch or blue cheese dressing over the chicken, then sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  6. 6. Place the top halves of the rolls back on and brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and parsley.
  7. 7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown.
  8. 8. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

You can prepare the buffalo chicken mixture up to one day ahead for faster assembly.
For a crispier base, toast the bottom buns briefly before adding the filling.
Avoid microwaving leftovers to keep the buns soft; reheat in the oven for best texture.
