Description

Sweet Chili Meatballs Crockpot made with simple ingredients, slow cooked until tender, saucy, and perfect for parties or easy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb frozen meatballs
  • 1 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spray the crockpot insert with non-stick spray or line it with a slow cooker liner.
  2. Place frozen meatballs into the crockpot.
  3. Whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic powder, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir gently to coat.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
  6. Stir the meatballs, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  7. Serve hot over rice or as an appetizer.

Notes

  1. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
  2. Freeze cooked meatballs for up to 2 months and reheat when needed.
  3. Reduce honey for a less sweet sauce.
