This one-pot creamy garlic pasta is a quick, comforting dish made in a single pan for minimal cleanup. Rich with butter, garlic, and Parmesan, it’s the perfect weeknight dinner that feels gourmet without the hassle.

Ingredients

Scale

12 ounces pasta (penne, linguine, or spaghetti)

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

6 cloves garlic, minced

3 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)

1 ½ cups whole milk or heavy cream

¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tablespoon olive oil

Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

1. Melt butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and slightly golden.

2. Pour in the uncooked pasta along with chicken broth and milk. Stir to coat the noodles evenly.

3. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and the sauce has thickened.

4. Reduce heat to low and stir in Parmesan cheese until creamy and smooth.

5. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Garnish with parsley or basil and serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter version, use milk instead of heavy cream. Add grilled chicken, shrimp, or vegetables for extra protein and flavor. Best served immediately while hot.
