Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breasts, sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon crushed powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 teaspoon anchovy paste (optional)
  • 2 hoagie rolls
  • 1 tablespoon butter or garlic butter
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/3 cup shaved Parmesan
  • Optional: avocado, sun-dried tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and salt.
  2. Cook chicken in a skillet, grill pan, or air fryer until golden and cooked through.
  3. Whisk mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon, Worcestershire, garlic, and Parmesan to create the dressing.
  4. Toast hoagie rolls with butter or garlic butter until lightly crisp.
  5. Spread dressing on the roll, layer romaine, add hot chicken, more dressing, and Parmesan.
  6. Close the sandwich, slice if desired, and serve warm.

Notes
