Description

This Brown Butter Peach Cobbler is an easy, cozy, and delicious dessert — perfect for summer gatherings or whenever you crave a taste of comfort.

  • 6 cups fresh peaches, sliced (or frozen, thawed and drained)

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (to brown)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder

  • ¼ teaspoon salt¾ cup milk or buttermilk


Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns golden brown and fragrant. Pour it into the baking dish.

  • In a bowl, mix peaches with sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt. Let sit for 10 minutes to release juices.

  • Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the melted brown butter in the dish.

  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk until smooth.

  • Pour the batter gently over the peaches without stirring.

  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40–45 minutes, until golden and bubbling. Cool for 10 minutes before serving warm with ice cream.


Notes

  • You can use canned or frozen peaches if fresh ones aren’t available.

  • For a crispier top, sprinkle extra sugar over the batter halfway through baking.Best served warm; refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days.
